A Century of Service

The firm was founded in 1909 by James F. Noble, Sr., in Brookhaven, Mississippi.  Mr. Noble, Sr., had clerked in Washington, D.C., for Mississippi Senator Percy Quinn, but returned home to Mississippi where he obtained his law degree from Millsaps Law School in Jackson.  Mr. Noble, Sr., practiced law for over 50 years before retiring.  In 1948, Mr. Noble, Sr., was joined by his son, James F. Noble, Jr.  Like many of his generation, Mr. Noble, Jr., served his county in World War II.  After flying 35 combat missions in the U.S. Army Air Corps and the war’s end, Mr. Noble, Jr., returned to finish college and obtain his law degree from Ole Miss Law School.  Mr. Noble, Jr., is now of counsel to the firm, having retired after more than 50 years of successful practice.  James F. Noble III has practiced for 20 years, and now maintains the firm’s primary office in Jackson, Mississippi.
